Franke Sloothaak, the dutch born member of the feared German Equipe, revealed his ideas on the current discussion on the over-use of the description “Grand Prix” and how it may be effecting the Sports of Horse Jumping.
Alphahorse visited Franke Sloothak at the International Horse Show in Dortmund Westhallen on Friday 14th, 2003. On this morning, he won 6th with his new “alphahorse”, Landgold 3, in an international S class for Young Horses. His round was spotless perfect and rythmic, as one would expect from the master of style.
In the interview, Sloothaak describes an insecure feeling, as he and his stallion were overwhelmed by the hordes of young children filling the early morning stadium. However, one can hardly notice a blink in concentration, as Sloothak and his latest acquistition ride a respectable placing.
